Sexual empowerment occurs when you are in tune with your body and able to connect with the needs, desires, and boundaries that exist as a part of your sexual wellbeing. As a therapist I work with my clients to increase their sexual satisfaction and create authentic, fulfilling sexual experiences. I view restoring a sense of understanding and confidence in your body as a crucial part of this work. Many of my clients find that there is power in beginning to learn about and understand why their body responds the way it does during their sexual experiences. My goal is to create a safe space for you to build an understanding of what healthy, authentic sexuality means to you!
Topics that we may explore together in therapy include…
Feelings of guilt or shame that accompany sexual experiences
Difficulties with arousal, desire, and orgasm
Increasing your comfort in initiating or taking part in sexual experiences
Promoting relationships that support healthy, authentic sexuality
Building awareness of how your body responds to intimate experiences
Re-building a relationship with sex or intimacy after a trauma or betrayal
Exploring experiences with pleasure and fantasy
Building body confidence
Defining boundaries and communication that support healthy sexuality
